Test the journey
before you fund it.

Journey Simulator turns your patient population into a working model of how people move through care: where they wait, where they loop back, where they leave. Change one transition rate and see how many patients move with it.

Model the journey, then test the fix.

See how patients actually move through care: where they stall, where they loop, where they leave. Then try the intervention against the model before you pay for it.

01 Journey maps don't show where patients drop

A journey map shows the stages and the arrows between them. It can't tell you how many patients stall at each step, how long they wait, or how many never come back.

02 Journey Simulator models how they actually move

Every step gets a rate: how many patients move, how many stall, how many leave. Your clinical and payer experts set those rates before anyone reads a number.

03 You see the one moment worth changing

The model shows where patients lose momentum, and which single transition would move the most people if it changed.

04 You test the intervention before you fund it

Compare the scenario against the calibrated baseline. When someone asks why this moment, you have the model that says so.

Watch a patient population become a live journey

How it's offered

Teams bring Journey Simulator in to plan a launch, tune an in-line brand, or decide where an intervention goes.

01

Bring it in for a launch, a brand, or an intervention

Journey Simulator comes in as a planning capability your team runs, scoped to the decision in front of you.

Launch planning In-line optimization Intervention planning Investment cases
02

Everyone plans from the same model

Brand strategy Launch excellence Medical Market access Analytics Commercial planning

Strategy, launch, medical, market access and analytics usually each show up with their own numbers. Here they read one model, with rates the same experts signed off on.

03

What you need to bring

  • The disease state or patient population you want to model
  • Clinical, commercial and payer experts who can set the transition rates

From population to tested plan

01
Define the population
Name the disease state or patient population you want to model.
02
Build the journey
A live model comes back with the loops, delays and drop-offs already in it.
03
Calibrate with experts
Clinical, commercial and payer experts set the rates. Required before any analysis.
04
Find the leverage
See where patients stall, and which single rate change moves the most people.
05
Test the intervention
Compare the intervention against the calibrated baseline before you commit spend.

It builds the model, runs the what-ifs, and finds where the journey turns.

01

Dynamic journey model

Your patient population as a working model, with transitions, loops, delays and drop-offs built in.

02

Scenario simulation

Run a what-if against the calibrated baseline and read the outcomes side by side.

03

Inflection-point analysis

Find the moments where the journey turns, and where patients lose momentum.

What you walk away with

The model does the work. These are the pieces you take into the investment conversation.

Intervention mapLeverage points turned into interventions you can cost, compare and defend
Investment roadmapWhere your budget goes across the journey, and in what order
KPI forecastThe forecast and the white-space view, when they are in scope for your engagement

Built for the decisions that cost money

01

Launch planning

Model where launch uptake could stall, and know when the intervention has to land to matter.

02

Adherence

Find where patients abandon therapy, and test what would keep them on it.

03

Competitive response

Stress-test how a new entrant or a market shift changes the way patients move.

04

Access planning

See how coverage and access friction change how far patients get.

Now

Today, Journey Simulator runs your patient population as a live journey model.

Next

Next, it refreshes with new data, so the model stays current between planning cycles.

The payoff

So the budget goes to the moment that moves the most patients.

Now

The calibrated model

Your population runs as a live journey. Every transition rate is set by your clinical, commercial and payer experts before anyone reads a result.

Stop guessing where patients fall off.

You can point at the moment patients leave, show what happens if you change it, and back it with a baseline your clinical and payer experts signed off on.

Questions, answered

What does this do that a journey map doesn't?
A journey map shows a path. Journey Simulator runs it: patients move through the model at rates your experts set, so you can change one thing and see how many people it moves.
Can we test interventions before launch?
Yes. That is the main use. You compare intervention, access and market scenarios against the calibrated baseline before any budget is committed.
Who should be in the room?
Strategy, launch, analytics, medical, access and commercial. They all read the same model, which is usually the point.
Does it predict what will happen?
No. It is a planning and scenario tool. Read the results with clinical, commercial and payer judgment on top.
What is running under the model?
A continuous-time Markov chain, or CTMC. Every step in the journey carries a transition rate, and patients move between states at those rates. The Structure, Energy and Leverage framework is what finds where changing one rate would move the most people. The work runs across four tools: Journey Builder, Refiner, Analyzer and Intervention Designer.
